Cardiac arrest is one of Australia’s biggest killers, but experts believe thousands of those deaths could have been avoided. In Australia less than one person in 10 survives an arrest but elsewhere up to 50 per cent of patients are successfully revived. A new campaign is pushing for urgent change and the public plays a vital role through the relatively simple task of learning CPR.
